Cheese Robbers – Mice on a Mission!

We are opening our latest escape room, inspired by the local Coooper’s Hill Cheese Rolling event, on 6th August (booking calendar now open).

Cheese Rolling is a popular Gloucestershire tradition where competitors hurl themselves down the steep Cooper’s Hill chasing a large Double Gloucester cheese. Don’t worry though. You don’t need to throw yourself down a hill to take part in our latest room! Cheese Robbers is set in the kitchen where the giant cheese wheel is stored before the big race and requires you to take on the role of a team of mice attempting to steal the all-important wheel from the humans.

As these rodent thieves, players will be faced with the challenge of a “human-sized” kitchen to contend with, with custom-made oversized furniture and props creating a visually unique escape room experience. However, players must also stay on their toes, as the kitchen cat is much larger too! The room is inspired in part by the classic ‘Mouse Trap’ game, with contraptions, puzzles and various colourful items needing to be put together to make progress.

“This has been an extremely fun escape room to work on. We’ve been blending all kinds of interesting themes like kitchen puzzles, cheese puzzles and mouse puzzles, and on top of all that, the ‘small mouse in a big kitchen’ idea has allowed us to play with object size and room layout, resulting in some really unique challenges for players to think about, and a really immersive and distinctive visual design for the room.” John Mizon, Game Designer

We love making unique new games inspired by our local area that you will not play anywhere else. We think you’ll enjoy this traditional escape room style of solving a series of puzzles in order to follow a story, and then escape whilst working towards a long-term goal, i.e. stealing the big cheese! You will have one hour to unlock the kitchen’s cabinets and appliances, find all the clues they need, and escape with the cheese – but you’ll need to use problem-solving, communication, and a keen eye to make their way through the room’s various challenges and obstacles.

As usual, this game comes in a ‘Standard’ version, suitable for beginners and families (from ages 7 and up), as well as a ‘Challenging’ version that will provide even escape room veterans with a suitably satisfying experience.

Throw yourself into this room soon!
